Texas A&M AgriLife Extension, Collin, Fannin and Delta Counties will be hosting the 2nd annual North Texas Replacement Female/Bull Show and Sale. The event will be held at Myers Park and Event Center in McKinney on Thursday and Friday, October 29-30. All pens of replacement females and bulls will arrive at Myers Park on Thursday afternoon from 3-6 p.m. Potential buyers will be invited to view all the cattle on Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. The cattle will be judged by a panel of leading beef cattle producers on Friday morning from 9-11followed by a noon meal and the sale starting at 1:00 p.m. with the heifers first immediately followed by the bulls. Robert Schacher and Schacher Auction Services will be the commission company handling the sale for us this year. Robert has conducted the Fort Worth Stock Show Commercial Heifer Show and Sale for the past 5 years along with other numerous registered cattle sales across many states.
The purpose and design of the replacement female and bull show and sale is to provide cattle producers the opportunity to buy or sell the very best in replacement breeding stock. The program is a part of the “Rebuilding the Beef Herd” initiative by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension.
The sale will consist of 5 – 8 bred females or pairs per pen and registered or composite 12-24 month old bulls. If you have any further questions about the replacement female or bull sale, please contact Rick Maxwell, Cody Maxwell or Alford Echols.
